47 Hectares High in the Andes

Have you ever wanted to have a secluded mountain spread? Well, this property is for you! Located 25 minutes from the quiet town of Oña (which is about halfway in between Loja and Cuenca) is this 47-hectare (116-acre) property full of beautiful landscapes, and unique vegetation.

The property has vehicular access to and within the property. The upper part of the property has several semi-flat surfaces with great mountain views where you can build.

It currently has a small humble brick house with two bedrooms and a bathroom. The house is connected to electricity and potable water. However, there is no cell phone signal, but this is great for those who want to live away from EMFs and have a semi-off-grid lifestyle.

Additionally, there is a small pond and an orchard. At present it has these crops: tree tomato, corn, potato, papaya, and strawberries.

Since this property is high up in the Andes at 2770 meters (9080 feet), it has a cooler climate year-round, but you can still grow things.

It is about a 2-hour drive to get to Loja to the south, or about a 2-hour drive to get to Cuenca to the north. The nice thing about this is that the highway from Oña to either of those cities is paved since it’s the Pan American highway. You just have to drive on a dirt road to get to the property from Oña.
